May 2009 Ex Cherry Burton School governor jailed at Hull Crown Court over child porn photographs AN EX-SCHOOL governor has been jailed for three months after admitting having an “utter addiction” to child porn with 52,200 images – some stored under loft insulation. Married Andrew Davies (51) a former chairman of the governors at Cherry Burton Primary School, was jailed by a judge at Hull Crown Court. The court heard that Davies admitted he had too much time on his hands after retiring early from the Royal Navy. Davies formerly of Cherry Burton, but who used an address of the Foreshore, Hessle, had earlier pleaded guilty to seven specimen charges of making indecent images between 20 September 2006 and 26 September 2007 and one round up charge of possession of 52,200 on March 5 2008. The father of two appeared at court for sentence after he using his credit card to pay for US porn and police raided his home on March 5 2008. Davies was a parent governor at Cherry Burton School from November 2002 to November 2006. He was chairman of the governors from November 2005 to November 2006 and was CRB cleared May 2006.
