July 2022: Now living in Hessle August 2005 Kung-fu instructor jailed for raping girl A Kung-fu instructor has been jailed for 11-years for raping a 14-year-old girl Controlling and manipulative paedophile Roy James Gibson, 49 of Glebe Farm, Wawne, near Hull, was found guilty of rape, perverting the course of justice and sexual intercourse with a girl aged under 16 A jury at Sheffield combined court, the jury took five and half hours to find him guilty of all the charges The court heard he was obsessed with the victim, who he had known since she was 13 Gibson had raped the girl in 2002 The judge sentenced Gibson to eight years for rape. 18 months for perverting the course of justice, and 18 months for sexual intercourse with a girl aged under 16 The sentences were ordered to be served consecutively, making a total of 11 years  He is banned from unsupervised access to children and was told to register as a sex offender for life
