ADAM BUSHELL, THE DECEPTIVE SEX OFFENDER FROM JARROW, CAUGHT IN SHOCKING LIE

Adam Bushell, a 27-year-old man from Jarrow, has been exposed as a manipulative sex offender who went to great lengths to conceal his criminal past from his current partner. In a calculated effort to hide his previous convictions, Bushell adopted the alias Andrew Robinson, effectively erasing his true identity in an attempt to evade detection and continue his life undetected.

Bushell’s criminal history dates back to 2016 when he was caught by officers from the Dark Justice group attempting to meet a girl he believed to be only 13 years old. In reality, the individual he was communicating with was an undercover decoy, designed to catch predators like him. Following this incident, he was sentenced to 16 months in prison for his offenses. During his time in custody, he was subject to strict community restrictions, which included prohibitions on having unsupervised contact with minors without parental approval and mandatory disclosure of his criminal record to authorities.

Despite these legal restrictions, Bushell managed to establish a relationship with a woman he met online. He moved into her residence, which also housed her 10-year-old daughter, and lived with them for approximately eight months. His presence in the household went unnoticed until a suspicious friend raised concerns, leading to the discovery of his true identity and criminal background. The court was informed that Bushell deliberately sought to avoid detection by not only living with the woman and her child without informing authorities or her family but also by changing his name to Andrew Robinson.

Judge Simon Batiste described Bushell’s conduct as “devious” and “highly conniving,” emphasizing the danger posed by his actions given his criminal history. The judge highlighted that his behavior represented a “very high risk,” especially considering the potential harm to minors and the breach of legal restrictions designed to protect children.

Following his exposure, Bushell was rearrested and subsequently sentenced to an additional two years in prison for breaching sex offender registration requirements and violating a court order. Judge Batiste underscored the seriousness of his deception and conduct, particularly his decision to live with a minor without proper notification. The woman, who was pregnant at the time she uncovered his true identity, expressed her shock and revulsion, stating she felt “physically sick” and was determined to remove him from her life immediately. Her ordeal underscores the ongoing risks posed by individuals like Bushell, who manipulate legal systems and deceive those around them to continue their predatory behavior.
