Abdul Kadir

Maidenhead Sexual Abuser

May 2015 Bangladeshi jailed for eight years for “systematically” abusing two young girls A man who “systematically” abused two young girls over a two-year period has been jailed for eight years. Abdul Kadir, from Bangladesh, admitted 11 offences, including sexual assault on girl under 13 over a two-year period in the Maidenhead area. Kadir, 33, who was in the country illegally after overstaying his visa, fled to France as police started an investigation in May 2014. He was arrested under a European Arrest Warrant in Paris in December. Kadir, of no fixed abode, admitted 10 counts of sexually assaulting a girl under 13 by touching and one of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child. Four other charges, which he denied at a hearing in March, will lie on file. Sentencing Kadir at Reading Crown Court, Judge Ian Grainger described the offences as “disgraceful and disgusting, involving the gravest possible breach of trust”. He added: “The abuse was systematic and went on over a long period. “You told the girls not to tell anybody and out of confusion or misplaced respect they did not do.” Judge Grainger indicated Kadir will likely be deported to his native Bangladesh once he has served half of his custodial sentence.
