YORKSHIRE PAEDOPHILE GANG HANDED LENGTHY PRISON SENTENCES
Five men received convictions for their roles in the trafficking and sexual exploitation of a teenage girl in Yorkshire. The court heard that Yaseen Amini, aged 35, was involved in sexually assaulting the girl, along with other defendants.
Rehman faced a 12-year prison sentence after being found guilty of raping her at a hotel, while Rasheed was sentenced to four years for trafficking her.
Amini was convicted of engaging in sexual activity with a minor and was sentenced to five and a half years for that offence, with an additional three-year term for trafficking, to run concurrently.
The incident began in the summer of 2013 when Shapal and Rehman initially took the girl.
Three days later, she attended a party organized by Rasheed, where she was then sexually assaulted by Amini.
The judge described the girl as a highly vulnerable individual in need of protection who was neglected rather than cared for.
Rehman, known to the court as a convicted drug dealer and burglar, was labelled as a 'particularly nasty and gratuitous' individual, with his actions described as a 'callous, planned rape' rather than a chance occurrence.
The court imposed sentences that highlight the gravity and premeditated nature of their crimes.
As he was led away, Rehman shouted insults at the court.
