WILLIAM RAWLINGS OF MIDDLESBROUGH SENTENCED FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES IN TEESSIDE

In a case that has shocked the Middlesbrough community, William Rawlings, aged 55, was sentenced to four years in prison following his conviction on serious child sex offences by a jury at Teesside Crown Court. The crimes for which Rawlings was found guilty date back approximately two decades, involving a young girl aged between ten and twelve years old. The offences included attempted rape, three counts of indecent assault, and three additional charges of indecency with a child. As part of his sentence, Rawlings has been placed on the Sex Offenders Register indefinitely, ensuring ongoing monitoring of his activities.

Prosecutor Shaun Dodds revealed that Darren Rawlings had told both girls, “It’s our secret,” attempting to conceal his misconduct and manipulate the victims.
