William Moxham, 58, of Friar Close in Haverhill, confessed to 16 separate offences related to downloading child pornography between July 2002 and January 2003.
The case was forwarded to the Crown Court for sentencing, with the date yet to be determined.
Moxham was granted unconditional bail and informed that he would be placed under the provisions of the Sexual Offenders Act 1997.
