February 2022 Vet found with dog porn is kicked out of the profession A vet who specialises in the care of dogs has been kicked out of the profession after he was caught with a sick collection of dog porn. Dr Walter Dingemanse – a canine psychotherapist – downloaded ‘abhorrent’ bestiality images involving ‘vulnerable’ animals and women. The veterinary surgeon, 35 and married, also downloaded child porn and set up a group on messaging site Kik called ‘pervy dads’. Now, Dingemanse has been struck off following a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons tribunal and can no longer practice. The committee condemned his behaviour as ‘particularly grave’ as he was someone who ‘specialises in the care of the very animals depicted in the images’. The vet, who has a PhD in canine joint biomechanics, was caught with 22 pictures of bestiality. Under a fake name on Kik, he fantasised with another man about having sex with children as young as four. He set up the ‘pervy dads’ chat to chat about ‘good incest and filth’ and claimed girls aged seven were a ‘nice age’. Dingemanse, of Streatley, Berks, was arrested in February 2019 and later charged with child porn and bestiality. The images he downloaded were among the most serious category. He blamed his sick offences on ‘loneliness’ and was given an eight month prison sentence, suspended for two years at Oxford Crown Court. Now, at the the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons tribunal, he has lost his licence to practice. The board concluded the bestiality images were ‘particularly grave in the context of someone who works as a veterinary surgeon and furthermore one who specialises in the care of the very animals depicted in the images’. The board added: “Perhaps particularly pertinent to his role as a veterinary physiotherapist for dogs, were the 22 images depicting women and dogs involved in sexual acts. Dingemanse, who committed offences from November 2017 to April 2018, will remain on the Sex Offenders’ Register for 10 years.
