July 2019 Pervert found guilty of grooming schoolgirl A pervert has been found guilty of grooming a schoolgirl and causing her to look at images of sexual acts  At his trial on 2nd July, 2019 at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court, Vincent Warren, 52 of Merthyr was found guilty of:  Causing a child to watch a sexual act Four counts of possessing extreme pornographic images  The court was told that Warren had sent and also shown the child Category A images of sexual abuse (The most indecent stated by law). The pervert continued to send sexualised messages to the girl who had only just turned 14 years old.  The judge told Warren: “You repeatedly told the jury that you had no sexual interest in the girl. But the jury rejected that because it was a element of the charge that you gained sexual gratification from causing the child to watch these images” The judge continued: “In any event, that count must be against the background of the text messages and Whatsapp messages. Those messages were highly sexualised. There was controlling and grooming behaviour amongst those messages and your intention to normalize abnormal sexual behaviour in the eyes of a child, and it is in my judgement, a prolonged attempt by you to corrupt that child” The judge sentenced Warren to three years and four months of which he must serve half in prison A sexual harm prevention order for 10 years was imposed and he will be placed on the sex offenders register indefinitely
