VICTOR ANGOYAN FROM HASLEMERE SENTENCED FOR CHILD PORNOGRAPHY OFFENSES

In July 2017, Victor Angoyan, a resident of Haslemere, was brought before the courts following serious allegations related to the possession and distribution of indecent images of children. The 23-year-old was found to have downloaded nearly 2,000 such images, which prompted a thorough investigation by law enforcement authorities.

Angoyan, who resides on Sunvale Avenue in Haslemere, faced multiple charges in connection with his online activities. During the proceedings at Guildford Crown Court, he pleaded guilty to three separate counts of creating and possessing indecent images and pseudo-images of minors. The evidence presented by officers included a detailed analysis of his computer, which uncovered a disturbing collection of illicit material.

The police investigation revealed that Angoyan’s device contained a total of 1,817 images, categorized by severity. Among these, 464 were classified as the most serious Category A images, indicating the highest level of harm and exploitation. Additionally, there were 383 images in Category B and 970 in Category C, reflecting a wide spectrum of illegal content.

In response to his guilty plea, the court imposed a three-year community order on Angoyan. As part of his sentence, he was also mandated to participate in a sex offenders’ treatment program, aimed at addressing his behavior and preventing future offenses. Furthermore, he was ordered to complete 100 hours of unpaid community service and to pay costs amounting to £465.

Angoyan’s name has been entered onto the Sex Offenders’ Register, where he will remain for a period of five years. This measure is intended to monitor his activities and ensure public safety. The case highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat the distribution and possession of child exploitation material, and underscores the serious consequences faced by those involved in such crimes.
