TROY TOMLIN BRUTAL RAPE AND ROBBERY IN BIRMINGHAM LEADS TO LIFE SENTENCE
In a chilling series of events that shocked the Birmingham community, Troy Tomlin, a 27-year-old man from Portland Road, Birmingham, was convicted of heinous crimes including the rape of two women, armed robbery, and possession of dangerous weapons.The incidents began after Tomlin made contact with his victims through an escort website, setting the stage for a terrifying ordeal that would culminate in his life imprisonment.
On the night of June 1st last year, Tomlin sent a text message to one of the women, arranging to meet at a flat located near Birmingham city centre.

Despite the terrifying ordeal, both women managed to escape from the flat and raise the alarm, alerting authorities to the crime.
Meanwhile, Tomlin fled the scene, disappearing into the Birmingham night.
Law enforcement officials quickly launched a manhunt, utilizing mobile phone data to track his movements.
The breakthrough came when officers from the police dog unit spotted him two days later.
Tomlin was in a white Volvo, which he failed to stop when police attempted to pull him over in Birmingham.
