BRADFORD MAN TOM BOOCOCK CAUGHT WITH CHILD PORNOGRAPHY AND JAPANESE SCHOOLGIRL IMAGES
In a serious case that has shocked the Bradford community, 40-year-old Tom Boocock from Bradford was found to have been involved in the possession of illegal images depicting child abuse, specifically featuring Japanese schoolgirls. The incident came to light when police officers executed a search warrant at his residence on Briggs Street, Queensbury, Bradford, on June 26 of the previous year.
During the raid, law enforcement officials uncovered a collection of illicit material stored on Boocock’s computer equipment.
Among the files was a folder named “Tommo,” which contained several indecent images and videos.
Boocock subsequently admitted to possessing five separate offences related to indecent images and movies, including five film clips and a photograph classified within the most severe category, Category A, indicating the highest level of illegal content.
In his police interview, Boocock explained that he was attracted to images of adults dressed to resemble younger individuals, which he claimed was his preference.
However, the investigation revealed that he had specifically searched for material involving Japanese schoolgirls, raising serious concerns about his intentions and the nature of his online activity.
Adding complexity to the case, Boocock also handed over 91 DVDs containing legal films, which the police had to scrutinize thoroughly.
This act prolonged the investigation, as officers needed to examine each disc to determine whether they contained any illicit content.
At Bradford Crown Court, the judge, Robin Mairs, addressed the court regarding Boocock’s case.
Despite his previous good character, the court found the evidence compelling enough to impose a significant sentence.
Boocock was sentenced to a three-year community order, which includes a 60-day rehabilitation activity requirement aimed at addressing his behavior.
Furthermore, the court issued an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order, restricting Boocock’s future conduct and interactions.
As part of the legal consequences, he is also required to register as a sex offender with the police for a period of five years, ensuring ongoing monitoring and management of his activities to protect the community from potential harm.
