TELFORD TEACHER TIMOTHY MOULE FACES JAIL OVER CHILD SEX ABUSE IMAGES AND SECRET PE VIDEOS
A former head teacher and safeguarding lead at a school in Telford has been linked to disturbing child exploitation crimes, including secretly filming boys during physical education classes. The individual, Timothy Moule, aged 53, is now facing serious legal consequences after authorities uncovered a new collection of illicit images, adding to his previous convictions.
Back in 2018, Moule was sentenced to 52 months in prison following his conviction for voyeurism and the creation of indecent images of children.
During that investigation, police found that he had used covert cameras to record boys changing in PE lessons, and his devices contained over 3,500 vile images depicting child abuse.
The case was brought to light after a concerned parent contacted the police, having discovered social media messages from Moule directed at her son, which raised suspicions about his inappropriate behavior.
This week, Moule appeared in court once again after authorities uncovered a fresh cache of 1,100 indecent images of children, which he had collected over a span of four years.
Despite the restrictions imposed by a sexual harm prevention order issued as part of his original sentence, which was designed to prevent him from engaging in further sexual offenses, it was revealed that he continued to amass illegal material.
Police officers seized two tablets and four laptops from his residence, and a detailed examination of these devices uncovered a disturbing collection of images.
Among these, 142 were classified as Category A, representing the most severe and depraved forms of child sexual abuse.
Further analysis revealed that Moule possessed 149 images in Category B, 789 in Category C, and an additional 21 images of an unspecified category.
These findings prompted his guilty plea at Kidderminster Magistrates Court to four counts of making indecent images of children and one count of breaching the sexual harm prevention order.
The case was subsequently transferred to Shrewsbury Crown Court for sentencing, scheduled for November 1.
Moule, who resides in Telford, was granted bail but is required to sign the sex offender register at his local police station and to live at his bail address until sentencing.
Superintendent Tom Harding of West Mercia Police emphasized the force’s commitment to combating child sexual abuse, stating, “We’re committed to bringing sex offenders to justice and putting a stop to any form of child sexual abuse.
Our efforts to tackle this will continue.” He also highlighted that investigations are thorough and impartial, regardless of the background or social standing of those involved, reaffirming the police’s dedication to protecting vulnerable children and holding offenders accountable.
