HOMELESS TELFORD PERVERT WHO LURED VULNERABLE GIRL TO A SECLUDED CAR PARK TO SERIOUSLY SEXUALLY ASSAULT HER JAILED
A Telford man has been jailed for six and a half years after luring a vulnerable 16-year-old girl to a secluded car park where he subjected her to a sustained sexual assault.
On February 4, 2023, Lee Ward, 42, started chatting with the girl before persuading her to follow him to a car park stairwell, where he sexually assaulted her despite her protests.
In October, a jury at Shrewsbury Crown Court found Ward guilty of four counts of sexual assault, assault by penetration, and attempting to cause a person to engage in sexual activity.
Yesterday (Friday), at Stafford Crown Court, Judge Laura Hobson KC sentenced Ward and described the victim as 'easy prey' to the homeless pervert.
The judge noted that Ward knew the girl was 16 and therefore much younger than him.
