HALESOWEN MAN JAILED FOR HORRIFYING SEXUAL ASSAULT ON PROSTITUTE
A former Police Complaints Authority volunteer who tied up, drugged, and raped a Birmingham prostitute to live out his sexual fantasies was sentenced to nine years in prison.Detectives described the case as 'vile and despicable,' and a senior officer stated it was the worst offence of that kind he had encountered in 18 years of service.
The victim, an 18-year-old woman, endured a horrifying six-hour ordeal after the offender, Timothy Dowling (34), who was high on drugs, subjected her to a terrifying car ride during which he committed multiple offences.
Dowling admitted charges including false imprisonment, rape, indecent assault, possessing amphetamine sulphate with intent, and possessing the drug.
Judge Derek Stanley remarked that 'nothing can overcome the fact this was an appalling and vicious attack when you were drug crazed.' He highlighted that Dowling had deliberately targeted a vulnerable woman and used her over hours to satisfy his perverted desires, suggesting it was an act of fantasizing that crossed into brutality.
The court heard that on April 14, Dowling left his home after injecting himself with speed, after a dispute with his wife.
He took various items with him, including a belt, tow rope, and a truncheon.
The victim was subjected to a horrifying experience, while Dowling's actions were condemned as heinous.
