ARSHAD AZAD CAUGHT IN HALESOWEN THREE TIMES IN ONE DAY AND JAILED
In a disturbing series of events that unfolded in Halesowen, a 62-year-old man named Arshad Azad was apprehended after being caught engaging in lewd acts on three separate occasions within a single day.The incidents, which took place on August 15, 2022, involved Azad exposing himself in public settings, including a bus and outside a local coffee shop, causing alarm among witnesses and passersby.
One of the most troubling aspects of Azad's behavior was his act of touching himself openly in full view of the public, which included several children.
On two of the three occasions, he carried out these acts 'under clothing,' suggesting a deliberate attempt to conceal his indecent behavior while still exposing himself to public view.
These acts of public indecency drew immediate attention and concern from those nearby, leading to his eventual arrest and prosecution.
It was revealed that Azad was already under a suspended sentence for similar offenses prior to these incidents.
Court documents indicated that a legal order was issued against him on May 13, which related to four separate incidents occurring between June 23, 2021, and August 1 of the current year.
During those previous incidents, Azad was convicted of outraging public decency by behaving in an indecent manner, including two instances where he was caught masturbating in his window in full view of the public on a residential street near a primary school.
Following his latest offenses, Azad was brought before Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court, where he received a sentence of 28 weeks in jail.
In addition to his imprisonment, he was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £154.
The court's decision underscores the seriousness of his repeated misconduct and the impact it has on the community of Halesowen, where residents are now left to grapple with the unsettling nature of his actions.
