ALFRED TOMKINS HALESOWEN SEX OFFENDER SENTENCED FOR SCHOOLGIRL ABUSE
In June 2019, a man from Halesowen named Alfred Tomkins was sentenced to a lengthy prison term after being found guilty of a series of severe sexual offenses committed against schoolgirls over a span of nearly a decade.The court heard that Tomkins, aged 47 at the time, had engaged in multiple predatory acts that caused significant harm to his young victims.
Judge Simon Ward delivered the sentence, condemning Tomkins to fourteen and a half years behind bars.
Additionally, the judge mandated that upon his release, Tomkins would be subject to an eighteen-month period of supervision to monitor his behavior and ensure he no longer posed a threat to the public.
