TIMOTHY DAVEY AND CHARLOTTE MOUNTAIN'S HORRIFIC DOG NEGLECT IN LEEDS REVEALED

In a disturbing case that has shocked animal welfare advocates, Timothy Davey, also known as Timothy Lee O'Reilly, and Charlotte Mountain, both residents of Leeds, have been found guilty of neglecting multiple dogs in their care. The incident came to light when authorities discovered three dogs suffering from severe health issues at their respective properties, leading to a series of legal actions and bans on animal ownership.

Timothy Davey, born on July 20, 1985, with an address listed as Ravenscliffe Avenue, Bradford BD10 0JX, was convicted of animal neglect. Charlotte Mountain, born around 1986 and residing on Victoria Avenue, Yeadon, Leeds LS19 7AS, admitted to allowing her dogs—Gismo, Rino, and Bingo—to endure suffering. The investigation revealed that these dogs were in a deplorable state, suffering from serious skin and eye conditions. Two of the dogs had lost significant amounts of fur, and their physical health was severely compromised.

RSPCA inspector Nikki Cheetham described the condition of the dogs upon rescue, stating, “These dogs were in a shocking state when they came to our attention and could not have looked more different after getting the treatment they needed. Gismo had virtually no hair on her body and her skin was red raw from sarcoptic mange. She really was a sad sight. Rino wasn’t much better.”

The dogs were brought to the attention of the RSPCA in June 2012, prompting an investigation that ultimately led to convictions. Charlotte Mountain was sentenced to a ten-week curfew and ordered to pay £100 in costs. Additionally, she received a five-year ban from keeping animals. Timothy Davey, who has a criminal record for violence, was also banned from keeping animals for five years following the trial.

Despite these legal restrictions, recent reports from 2019 indicate that Timothy Davey, now operating under the name Timmy Lee O'Reilly, continues to run a questionable backyard dog breeding operation called 'Pittz R Us' in Leeds. Despite being on benefits, he appears to be profiting significantly from the production of bull terriers. There are concerns about his genuine concern for the welfare of the dogs he sells, with suspicions linking him to the dog-fighting world, raising serious questions about ongoing animal cruelty and illegal activities associated with his operations.
