IAN WILLIAMS FROM WINSFORD SHAMES HIMSELF BY KILLING DOG IN BRUTAL ATTACK

On May 3, 2023, Cheshire Police received a distressing report from a friend of Ian Williams, a resident of Winsford, concerning his dog, Zeus, a 21-month-old pocket bully. The report indicated that the dog had become increasingly aggressive, which was believed to be due to being confined indoors for extended periods.

In response, officers promptly collected Zeus with the intention of having him euthanized, a decision that was initially agreed upon by Williams. However, on May 21, Williams contacted the police to inform them that he had reconsidered and now wished to retain custody of Zeus. The police agreed to this request, stipulating that Williams sign a 'good owner’s contract' to ensure proper care and responsibility.

Just two days later, Williams was observed digging in his backyard, apparently preparing to bury Zeus. During this time, a stab wound was visible on his own body, raising suspicions about the circumstances surrounding the dog's death. Subsequently, Williams contacted his brother, claiming that he had stabbed Zeus after the dog had
