IPSWICH MAN, 24, SENTENCED FOR DOWNLOADING INDECENT IMAGES OF CHILDREN
A 24-year-old Ipswich man who downloaded indecent images of children has been given a community order.
Police officers went to Thomas Pratt’s home and seized devices from his room, Ipswich Crown Court heard.
When the equipment was analysed it was found to contain 11 indecent images of children in the most serious level A category, two images in category B and seven in the least serious level C category.
Pratt, of Ivan Blatny Road, Ipswich, who has no previous convictions, admitted three offences of making indecent images dating back to May 2022.
He was given an 18-month community order, a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement and ordered to attend an Horizon sex offender treatment programme.
He was also ordered to do 150 hours of unpaid work and to pay £125 in costs.
He was also made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order for five years and ordered to sign the sex offender’s register for the same period.
Phillip Farr, for Pratt, said no indecent movies of children were found on his devices and none of the indecent images involved babies or toddlers.
He said Pratt was currently living with his mother.
