FORMER ARSENAL STAR FACES RAPE CHARGES AMID LEGAL DISPUTE
Thomas Partey, the former Arsenal midfielder, has been charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault. The allegations pertain to incidents reported by three women between 2021 and 2022. Partey, who recently left Arsenal after his contract expired, denies all charges and has stated he 'welcomes the opportunity to finally clear his name.' The legal proceedings are scheduled to begin with his appearance at Westminster magistrates court on August 5. The case has raised questions about whether he was allowed to continue playing for Arsenal while under police investigation.
