THOMAS HEARN FROM SWANSEA JAILED FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES IN SWANSEA

In a recent case heard at Swansea Crown Court, a man from Swansea has been sentenced to prison for serious child sex offences. Thomas Hearn, aged 21 and residing in the St. Thomas area of Swansea, was found guilty of engaging in inappropriate and illegal conduct involving a very young child.

The court heard that Hearn had kissed the child on the lips on two separate occasions, actions that constitute sexual assault by touching under Welsh law. These acts were committed against a child under the age of 13, highlighting the severity of the offences and the vulnerability of the victim involved.

Hearn pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual assault by touching, which led to his sentencing. On March 7, the judge at Swansea Crown Court handed down a sentence of 16 months in prison, reflecting the gravity of his actions and the need for justice for the young victim.

In addition to his prison term, Hearn was subjected to notification requirements for a period of 10 years, meaning he will be under strict supervision and monitoring to prevent any further offences. Furthermore, a restraining order was imposed for the same duration, explicitly prohibiting him from making any contact with the victim or approaching them, thereby providing additional protection for the child involved in this distressing case.
