TERRY JAMES BRADFORD HAIR REMOVAL CLINIC SEX OFFENDER SENTENCED TO 17 YEARS
A man identified as Terry James has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term of 17 years after being found guilty of using his hair removal business in Bradford as a sinister platform to carry out sexual assaults on eight women. The court proceedings revealed a disturbing pattern of predatory behavior, with James exploiting his professional setting to commit these heinous acts.
James, aged 53 and residing on Halifax Road in Dewsbury, had previously denied the charges but ultimately pleaded guilty on the final day of his trial in September.
The charges included 13 counts of assault by penetration, five counts of sexual assault, and additional allegations related to the distribution and possession of indecent images of children.
The court heard that James had presented himself as a friendly and professional practitioner to his clients, which allowed him to gain their trust.
According to court reports, James employed manipulative tactics during his treatments.

During these sessions, he secretly used a camera to film and photograph the women without their knowledge or consent.
This betrayal of trust was described by the judge as particularly egregious, given that the victims believed they were in a safe, professional setting.
Further details revealed that James had lured women into his Bradford-based clinic by offering discounts on laser treatments, making his services appear attractive and accessible.
His actions, however, were driven by perverted motives, and he exploited the trust placed in him by his clients for his own gratification.
In addition to the sexual offenses, the court learned that James had a troubling history related to indecent images of children.
In 2017, he received a suspended sentence of four months for possessing such images.
He was arrested again in May 2020 for similar offenses, which led to his being released under investigation.
Despite this, he continued to commit more serious sexual offenses against the women he targeted in Bradford.
During sentencing, Judge Sophie McKone described James as a
