Middlesbrough Offender Jailed for Brutal Assault and Drug Crimes

MIDDLESBROUGH OFFENDER JAILED FOR BRUTAL ASSAULT AND DRUG CRIMES

A violent offender named Terrence Fox, aged 36, has been involved in multiple criminal activities including a brutal assault, drug offenses, and violating court orders.

Fox is a convicted felon previously serving a seven-year sentence for a grievous assault where he attacked his ex-girlfriend, during which he struck her, knelt on her chest, and strangled her, leaving her with a fractured jaw and permanent plates fitted.

Despite a restraining order, Fox rekindled his relationship with his ex-partner in January 2022, which quickly led to a violent confrontation fuelled by alcohol and drugs, forcing the victim to pack her belongings, fearing for her safety.

The court heard that during the attack, Fox assaulted her, causing serious injuries.

The judge described his actions as vicious and condemned his repeated violence.

Fox was jailed for a further seven years for this assault, which will run concurrently with his existing sentence, and he is expected to be eligible for release in January 2026.

Additionally, Fox faced charges related to drugs possession; on March 23, 2021, he was found with 1.82 grams of crack cocaine and 28.9 grams of heroin.

He also appeared in court for launching a vicious attack on his ex-girlfriend while on bail, despite being banned from seeing her due to previous violence.

His long-standing criminal history includes previous jail time for drug dealing in 2016, and the current sentencing guidelines mandated his prison term, which will commence immediately.

The police investigation took nearly two years, during which the delay frustrated court officials, and Fox's continued offending was noted.

The case highlights Fox's pattern of violence and drug-related crimes, resulting in a total prison sentence that reflects his repeated offenses.
