Suhaib Akhtar, a 33-year-old from Wolverhampton, has been sentenced to two years in prison after secretly taking photographs of his wife and later exchanging them online for images of children.

It was only when his wife discovered the photos on his phone that the crimes came to light.

Akhtar was found to possess and distribute indecent images, including several classified as category A, which depict children engaged in sexual activity.

In addition to his prison sentence, he has been ordered to sign the sex offenders register indefinitely and is subject to a sexual harm prevention order.
