BIRMINGHAM MAN SENTENCED TO PRISON FOR ATTEMPTED RAPE DURING CHRISTMAS OUTING
Sex beast Stuart Rouse was sentenced to five-and-a-half years in prison for attempting to rape a woman in a hotel room after a Christmas night out.According to the court, Rouse sexually assaulted the victim while she was sleeping in his bed—promising her that “nothing would happen” and he would sleep elsewhere.
Despite her full clothing, the woman fled when Rouse tried to rape her in December 2015.
The victim, who was so traumatized by the incident that she broke up with her long-term boyfriend, was described as being in a state of shock and trying to pretend it was not happening.
Rouse, 36, of Redhill Road, Northfield, was convicted of sexual assault and attempted rape and was ordered to register as a sex offender for life.
The incident occurred after Rouse had been out with co-workers, drinking in Birmingham city centre, and went to a hotel with around a dozen coworkers.
The victim, also out in the city, had taken cocaine with one of the men in the hotel room before being left alone with Rouse, who initially said she could stay in her room while he slept in a chair.
However, she awoke to find Rouse on the bed next to her as he attacked her.
The judge highlighted that Rouse, heavily under the influence of alcohol, targeted the vulnerable woman, knowing she was intoxicated and not consenting, and had broken his promise to let her sleep elsewhere.
Rouse was found guilty of these heinous acts, and the court sentenced him to five years and six months imprisonment, emphasizing the seriousness of his crime and his targeting of a vulnerable individual.
