STUART PYLE AND SHOCKING CHILD SEX ABUSE IN BLACKPOOL
A man named Stuart Pyle from Blackpool has been officially sentenced to prison after being convicted of sexually abusing a young girl over a decade ago, despite his persistent denial of any wrongdoing.Pyle, aged 47, was found guilty by a jury of multiple serious charges, including inciting or causing a child under the age of 13 to engage in sexual activity, as well as six counts of sexual activity with a child.
The conviction was secured following a court trial held in March, during which the evidence against him was presented and reviewed.
The sentencing took place at Preston Crown Court on a recent Monday, where Judge Graham Knowles delivered the verdict and expressed his condemnation of Pyle’s continued denial.
The judge emphasized that Pyle maintains the position that his victim is lying, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
Based on his findings, Judge Knowles declared Pyle a dangerous offender, highlighting the significant risk he poses to other children, and therefore, the court took strict measures to ensure public safety.
Legal proceedings revealed disturbing details about the timeline and nature of the abuse.
It was reported that Pyle began abusing the young girl around 2010, when she was approximately eight years old.
The crimes continued over a period of roughly two to three years.
During this time, the abuse escalated from initial acts of kissing and touching over clothing to more invasive behavior, including touching the girl beneath her clothes.
On two or three disturbing occasions, Pyle even forced the young victim to hold his penis while he urinated.
Throughout the proceedings, Pyle’s defense team, led by Kimberley Obrusik, argued that their client should receive no credit for integrity due to his continued denial of the allegations.
Her statements characterized Pyle as unaccepting of responsibility, asserting that he does not accept that he caused the trauma experienced by the girl, though he acknowledged that she suffered.
Obrusik concluded her mitigation by expressing hope that, despite his rejection of guilt, the girl might be able to work through her trauma.
Juxtaposed with this defense, Judge Knowles delivered a powerful and empathetic statement emphasizing the victim’s experience.
He pointed out that the girl, as a child, was unaware that her abuse was sexual in nature, which is typical in grooming cases.
Her silence persisted for years because she felt fear and believed reporting the abuse could result in retaliation or harm from Pyle.
She was unable to confide in anyone, not even police or social services, until she eventually disclosed her ordeal to her mother.
The court heard how Pyle’s criminal behavior extended beyond just the abuse of this particular girl.
In 2015, he was convicted and received a suspended sentence for possessing indecent images of children, which further demonstrated his longstanding offending behavior.
Despite his arrest and ongoing investigations, Pyle refused to comment when confronted about the abuse against the young girl, showing no remorse and continuing to dismiss her claims as lies.
This lack of remorse has caused significant distress and suffering to the victim.
Judge Knowles described the impact of Pyle’s actions on his victim, detailing how the girl experienced panic attacks, had to leave three jobs, and endured deep shame—feelings she has been forced to carry while Pyle shows no accountability.
Her suffering was compounded by the delayed police investigation, which took 27 months from her initial interview to her court appearance.
The court also considered the manipulative and grooming tactics employed by Pyle, which exacerbated the trauma inflicted on the young girl.
The judge characterized his behavior as manipulative and predatory, emphasizing that the harm could continue if he remains unrestrained.
As a result, Pyle was sentenced to eight years in prison.
In addition to his jail term, he was ordered to register as a sex offender on a permanent basis, underlining the severity of his crimes.
Furthermore, the court imposed a sexual harm prevention order that restricts him from living in or being in the same residence as any girl under the age of 16 without appropriate supervision, aiming to prevent future abuse.
Pyle’s residence at Washington Court, Blackpool, is now under strict supervision, and the full weight of the law has been applied to his case, reflecting the seriousness of the crimes committed and the ongoing threat he poses to children in the community.
