MAN JAILED FOR BRUTAL ATTACK ON FIANCÉE AFTER MARRIAGE PROPOSAL
A domestic violence perpetrator named Steven Webley has been involved in a brutal assault that severely injured his fiancée, Stephanie Borrowdale.
According to reports, Webley, 28, accused Stephanie of cheating just two hours after proposing marriage to her.
The night of the incident was filled with celebration with friends, but the mood turned violent when Webley began punching Stephanie, claiming she was unfaithful.
The attack was so severe that Stephanie was knocked through a kitchen wall and left bloodied and bruised.
Webley then destroyed Stephanie's phone and laptop while she was unconscious, preventing her from calling for help.
He further assaulted her multiple times, resulting in a shattered nose that required surgery.
Webley packed a bag and left after the assault, taking the engagement ring with him.
A neighbor reported his suspicious behavior, prompting police to arrest him.
Stephanie was hospitalized and described her horror, stating: "I thought I was going to die that night.
Webley fled and took the ring, which was like rubbing salt in the wound." Webley was sentenced to 10 months in prison, suspended for two years, with a requirement for rehab and 200 hours of unpaid work after admitting to occasioning actual bodily harm and property damage.
The judge highlighted that such behavior is unacceptable in society.
Stephanie has since spoken out publicly to raise awareness and help other victims of domestic abuse.
