STEPHEN JACKSON'S SHOCKING CRIME IN RUNCORN: PREDATOR'S REIGN OF TERROR EXPOSED

In a disturbing case that has left the community of Runcorn reeling, Stephen Paul Jackson, aged 39, of Westwood, Windmill Hill, was convicted and sentenced for a series of heinous sexual offences involving minors. The incident, which took place over a period of time, culminated in Jackson being sentenced to five years and three months in prison at Liverpool Crown Court after he pleaded guilty to multiple charges.

Jackson admitted to engaging in sexual activity with six children, including two counts of sexual activity with a child, causing a child under 16 to observe a sexual act, and sexual assault of a boy under 13. His guilty plea also covered sexual activity with a boy under 13, highlighting the severity and breadth of his criminal behavior.

The case has deeply affected the families involved, especially the parents of one teenage boy who was victimized. One mother expressed her anguish, stating, “I feel sick and betrayed. This perpetrator was a family friend. We trusted him.” She emphasized her desire for public awareness, saying, “I want him named and shamed so everyone in Runcorn and Widnes knows exactly who he is.”

Her son, who was just 14 at the time of the abuse, was so traumatized that he ran away from home after the initial incident. She recounted her distress, “I was out of my mind with worry. It wasn’t like him. He was the perfect son. The police found him at 9 pm in Liverpool.” The mother revealed that her son only confided in her about the abuse after a week, during which he endured three more assaults.

She described the lasting impact on her son, noting that although he was excelling academically before the abuse, the trauma had changed him. “He became rebellious and angry. He went really nasty. He wasn’t sleeping at night,” she explained. The victim had been manipulated with promises of PlayStation games to keep silent, and she expressed relief that Jackson was now behind bars. Despite his progress in college, her son continues to suffer from nightmares and attends counseling sessions.

The mother admitted her own loss of trust, saying, “It’s hard for me to trust anyone now.”

The father of the victim also spoke out, describing the betrayal as devastating. “It was a terrible betrayal of trust. This perpetrator was a friend of mine for 20 years. I never suspected anything. It was an awful shock to us all,” he said.

Following his conviction, Jackson was released in July 2016 and returned to the same area in Runcorn, raising concerns among residents and authorities about the potential risk to the community. The case has sparked ongoing discussions about safeguarding and the importance of vigilance in local neighborhoods.
