DONCASTER PAEDOPHILE SIMON RIMMER CAUGHT WITH PIG PORN AND CHILD ABUSE IMAGES IN SHOCKING CASE
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Doncaster, Simon Rimmer, a 57-year-old man, has been found in possession of a large collection of indecent images of children along with explicit material involving animals. The case first came to light in August 2015 when police conducted a search of Rimmer’s residence and uncovered more than 3,000 indecent images stored on his computers.
Among these images, authorities discovered 690 classified as Category A, indicating the most severe level of abuse, highlighting the gravity of the material Rimmer was viewing.
Further investigations revealed that Rimmer had actively searched for and discussed content involving young girls and incestuous themes through Kik messaging platforms.
These discussions and searches pointed to a disturbing pattern of interest in illegal and morally reprehensible material.
The police continued their scrutiny of Rimmer’s digital devices, and in November 2018, a subsequent search of another computer uncovered additional indecent images.
This later search also revealed a particularly disturbing video involving a live pig, which added a new layer of depravity to the case.
Rimmer was charged with multiple offenses, including six counts of making indecent images of children and one count of possessing an extreme pornographic photograph depicting sex with a pig.
He pleaded guilty to all charges, and the case was brought before Sheffield Crown Court.
During the proceedings, it was revealed that Rimmer had a known interest in disturbing and illegal content, which he had accumulated over several years.
In court, Rimmer’s defense team indicated that he would soon begin sexual psychotherapy to address his offending behavior, suggesting an attempt at rehabilitation.
Judge David Dixon, presiding over the case, sentenced Rimmer to 16 months in prison, but the sentence was suspended for two years, meaning he would not serve time immediately but would be under supervision and subject to conditions during this period.
As the case progressed, further details emerged in January 2021, when Rimmer was again brought before Sheffield Crown Court.
This time, the focus was on the extent of his illegal material, which included over 3,000 indecent images, with 690 classified as Category A.
The court heard that Rimmer had admitted guilt to six counts of making indecent images of children and possession of an extreme pornographic image involving sex with a pig.
Judge Dixon adjourned sentencing until March 1 to allow for a pre-sentence report, emphasizing the need to understand the full extent of Rimmer’s actions and motivations.
Throughout the proceedings, Rimmer was warned that he could face imprisonment when he returns for sentencing.
The case has drawn significant attention due to the disturbing nature of the material involved and the implications for community safety and child protection efforts in Doncaster and beyond.
