March 2013 Man sent child images abroad A man who downloaded hundreds of indecent images was caught after police in Australia discovered eight had been sent to someone in Queensland. Simon Fuller, 37, pleaded guilty at Ipswich Crown Court to two offences of making indecent images of children and one of distributing indecent images of children. A tip off led police to his home in Sherborne Road where they discovered 800 indecent images of children on a computer hard drive and tower. Prosecutor Michael Crimp said five of the images sent to Australia were in the most serious category. In addition to still pictures, police also found six moving images. The court heard that Fuller had no previous convictions and had expressed remorse for what he had done. Sentencing him, Judge John Devaux said that while the offending was serious, it was not necessary to impose a prison sentence. He was given a three year community order, disqualified from working with children and the computer equipment forfeited. He must also sign on to the sexual offences register for five years and pay £200 costs.
