SIMON BECKETT FROM WREXHAM CAUGHT WITH OVER 500 INDECENT CHILD IMAGES
In a serious case that has shocked the community of Wrexham, Simon Beckett, a 46-year-old resident, has admitted to possessing a significant collection of indecent images involving children. The authorities uncovered a total of 547 such images on his computer during a police raid conducted at his residence.
Beckett, when questioned, described the disturbing material as a 'fantasy,' a statement that has added to the gravity of the case.
The images depicted children ranging in age from as young as two years old up to 12 years old, highlighting the disturbing nature of the content he possessed.
The police executed a warrant at Beckett’s home in Wrexham, leading to the discovery of the illicit material.
Following his admission, a pre-sentence report has been ordered to assess his circumstances and background before the court proceeds with sentencing, which is scheduled for April.
The case has raised concerns within the local community about the prevalence of such offenses and the importance of vigilant law enforcement in protecting vulnerable children from exploitation and abuse.
The court will now consider the evidence and the implications of Beckett’s actions as it moves toward a final judgment.
