February 2016 Woman receives caution for engaging in sexual activity in front of child A woman has received a police caution for engaging in sexual activity in front of a child aged under 14-years-old for her own sexual gratification. Shelley Mead, aged 35, formerly of Hessary Drive, Roborough in Plymouth but now living in St Austell in Cornwall was said to have been fully aware that the vulnerable schoolgirl saw what she was doing. Mead asked the child to watch her playing with herself and even invited the girl to join in Judge Paul Darlow set down a trial to last two or three days, but the court heard she had accepted a police caution and the Crown Prosecution Service said it would not offer any further evidence. Mead was told she must not contact the girl nor go within a mile of her city home. She is also required to register as a sex offender for a period of two years.
