SHAUN ROBINSON'S BRUTAL ATTACKS IN WASHINGTON LEAVE TWO WOMEN IN FEAR AND INJURY

Shaun Robinson, a 23-year-old railway worker from Striding Edge, Washington, has been convicted of inflicting severe violence on two women, leaving them physically injured and emotionally traumatized. The disturbing incidents unfolded over a period of time, with Robinson's aggressive behavior culminating in two separate assaults that shocked the local community and drew the attention of the courts.

According to court records, the first assault occurred in August 2022. During this violent episode, Robinson physically attacked his first victim by punching, kicking, and stamping on her. He also grabbed her by the hair and forcefully smashed an empty wine glass over her head. The attack resulted in the woman sustaining two prominent black eyes, extensive bruising across her body and limbs, and hair loss. Following the assault, Robinson sent her a vile message, blaming her for the violence and using derogatory language. He stated, "You are the f****** problem, stop trying to say I am. You got what you deserved. Learn to f****** respect people and you wouldn't get brayed, you fat f****** mess."

During a subsequent court hearing, Robinson boasted about his actions, claiming, "I took my ring off and didn't stamp on her face, just went boosh, boosh, boosh." The victim, in her impact statement, expressed her fear of returning to her home, describing it as being "covered in glass and blood" after the attack. She described herself as traumatized by the incident.

Following this, Robinson entered into a relationship with a second woman. His violent tendencies persisted, and he repeatedly punched her in the face during a frenzied attack. During this assault, he used both hands to inflict maximum injury, leaving her with a black eye and extensive bruising. During the violence, Robinson ominously told her, "I don't know whether to kill you or not," which left her fearing for her life. She later received a message from him stating, "You have been cheeky as f*** with me, this is why I battered you."

The second woman testified that she genuinely believed Robinson was capable of killing her and expressed her fear that he might try to harm her again if she reported him to the police. Her testimony highlighted the severity of the threat Robinson posed to her safety.

It was also revealed during the court proceedings that Robinson has a prior conviction for battery against another ex-partner in 2018, indicating a pattern of violent behavior.

Judge Amanda Rippon, presiding over the case at Newcastle Crown Court, described Robinson's conduct as extremely ugly, particularly noting his behavior after the attacks. She characterized his contact with the victims post-incident as "gaslighting," emphasizing the emotional manipulation involved. Judge Rippon stated, "I have rarely read anything quite so ugly."

Robinson pleaded guilty to two counts of assault and was subsequently sentenced to 34 months in prison. Additionally, the court issued restraining orders to prevent him from approaching or contacting either of the women, aiming to protect them from further harm. Judge Rippon made it clear that the case had surpassed the custodial threshold, underscoring the seriousness of Robinson's actions and the need for incarceration to prevent future violence.
