PREDATOR CAUGHT MINUTES AFTER SEX ATTACK ON GIRL, 10, IN BIRMINGHAM PUB JAILED
A child sex offender who was apprehended just minutes after assaulting a 10-year-old girl in a Birmingham pub has been sentenced to prison.
Sean Sewell, 46, of Newtown, was taken into custody approximately 20 minutes after the victim reported being "touched inappropriately" at a central Birmingham venue on April 8.
He was quickly identified as the perpetrator and detained nearby before being questioned by detectives.
An investigation connected Sewell to another incident on a Birmingham bus last October, where a woman reported that a man had exposed himself.
Sewell was charged with both exposure and sexually assaulting a minor.
He admitted to the charges and was sentenced to six years and five months in prison at Birmingham Crown Court on July 10.
Additionally, he will be required to register as a sex offender for life.
