In November 2012, a disturbing case emerged involving Sean McDade, a man from Northampton, who was found guilty of heinous crimes against a young girl. The victim, a 15-year-old girl, was lured and groomed through the social media platform Facebook, where McDade engaged her in conversations that ultimately led to a tragic encounter.

On the day of his trial at Northampton Crown Court, McDade, aged 19 at the time, pleaded guilty to multiple serious charges, including rape, sexual assault, inciting a child into sexual activity, and grooming a minor.
