September 2007 Pervert abused girl for months A paedophile who “corrupted” a teenage girl and used her repeatedly to satisfy his perverted lusts has been jailed. Sean Peter Ambler, 34, subjected the girl to “every conceivable” sexual practice during 18 months of abuse, the Recorder of York, Judge Paul Hoffman, said. York Crown Court heard that Ambler showed her adult pornography in films and on the internet, and sexually molested and sent sexual text messages to one of the girl’s friends. He was not charged in connection with the friend. Today, he is starting five years in jail. When he is released, his freedom will be restricted under a sexual offences prevention order, to protect other children and he will be on the sex offenders’register for life. He will also be banned from ever working with children in any capacity. Ambler, of Station Cottages, Huby, near Easingwold, admitted ten charges of sexual activity with a child and two charges of causing a child to engage in sexual activity. He showed no emotion as sentence was passed. “This is a case of corruption of a girl of a relatively tender age. You were two-and-a-half times her age,” the judge told him. “You introduced her to every conceivable sexual practice. You introduced her to pornographic films. “You turned her into a surrogate lover, there to do your bidding and satiate your every lust. You have obviously got an interest in young girls.” According to the paedophile, the girl spotted him performing a sexual act and matters progressed from there. Within a year, he was having full sex with her. For the defence, Peter Moulson said: “He wishes to express his heartfelt and sincere apologies to the complainant in this case”. Ambler could not explain his actions. He had spared the girl the ordeal of giving evidence by pleading guilty. If the girl said he was hurting her during his sexual sessions with her, he stopped immediately and he did not use physical violence against her. Ambler was currently unemployed and living off an inheritance left by his mother, who died recently. The girl had revealed what he had done to her in March last year and he had not offended since. Ambler had no previous convictions and had confessed his actions to police on his arrest.
