SCOTT PRATT FROM DUNFERMLINE AND GLENROTHES CAUSES CHAOS WITH ROOF CLIMBING AND VIOLENCE

Scott Pratt, a 35-year-old man with connections to Dunfermline and Glenrothes, has been at the center of a series of alarming incidents that have raised serious concerns among local residents and law enforcement officials alike.

One of the most disturbing episodes occurred when Pratt climbed onto the roof of a building located on Kirkburn Drive in Bowhill. From this precarious position, he proceeded to throw slates down into the street below, creating a significant hazard not only for pedestrians and motorists but also for police officers responding to the scene. His reckless actions demonstrated a blatant disregard for public safety and the law.

Prior to this, Pratt had engaged in aggressive behavior towards his former partner in Cardenden. In a separate incident, he repeatedly kicked at her door, shouting and swearing in a threatening manner. During this confrontation, he also caused damage to a window pane, further escalating the situation. His pattern of behavior included breaching bail conditions multiple times, despite warnings and legal restrictions.

Specifically, Pratt was known to contact his ex-partner and behave aggressively at various locations, including Cluny Park in Cardenden, where he shouted, swore, and issued threats of violence. His violent tendencies extended to Kerrar Place in Glenrothes, where he again acted violently and resisted police officers attempting to intervene. On one particularly troubling occasion, he returned to his ex-partner’s residence, repeatedly kicked the door, and smashed a glass panel, demonstrating a persistent pattern of harassment and violence.

His breaches of bail conditions were documented on several dates, notably August 30 and September 21. Additionally, he failed to adhere to a curfew imposed on November 7, further illustrating his ongoing disregard for court orders. Pratt’s criminal record includes charges related to dangerous climbing, throwing slates, threats, violence, and repeated violations of bail conditions.

Following these incidents, Pratt was brought before Dunfermline Sheriff Court, where Sheriff Susan Duff sentenced him to a term of 26 and a half months in prison. The court also imposed a three-year non-harassment order to prevent further contact or intimidation of his former partner. During the proceedings, both the court and the defense acknowledged that Pratt struggles with issues such as sexual jealousy, which he needs to address as part of his rehabilitation process.
