Scott Greene

Boreham Sexual Abuser

November 2017 Boreham pervert who told young girls he wanted to have sex with them is spared jail A Boreham pervert who told young girls he wanted to take them to a hotel room and have sex with them has been spared jail. Scott Greene, 27, of Church Road, Boreham, engaged in online sexual conversations with four girls aged between 12 and 15 from 2010 to 2015. He appeared before Chelmsford Crown Court yesterday (November 9) to be sentenced on four counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity. His actions came to light when the mother of one of the victims became aware that Greene had communicated with her daughter, trying to obtain photos of her as well as sending her images of his erect penis. She alerted the police who later found on his Facebook account that he had been communicating with three other young girls saying they were “pretty” and “sexy”. In a message to one of the victims, who he contacted between December 2010 and June 2012 when she was aged 13 to 15, he said he wanted to take her to a hotel room and show her his willy. Greene also asked her if she was a virgin and if she wanted to sleep with him. From February 2011 to April 2011, he messaged another girl who was aged 13, saying that he wanted to lay her on her back and have sex with her. Greene engaged in a sexual conversation with a 14-year-old girl in 2012 on Facebook, asking her if she was a virgin and inviting her to his bed. His last communication with a young girl came in May 2015 when he sent a picture of his penis to a girl under the age of 16 and asked her for photos. She sent him pictures of her in her pyjamas and underwear. She described how she liked the attention and that it gave her a bit of confidence. When Greene was interviewed by police, he said that he had never been in contact with any of the girls and that his account had been hacked. Forensic evidence showed that it was very unlikely that this would have happened. Greene initially denied the charges but finally admitted them when the case went to trial. Prosecuting, James Sawyer, read out a summary of personal statements written by each of the victims who said that they had come to the realisation that they did not have when they were younger, that they had been manipulated and that what Greene was doing was wrong. They also expressed their concerns that they may one day bump into Greene on the streets. One victim said that she wished to put it behind her. Judge John Seeley told Greene that he was fortunate that he had a supporting wife and that he pleaded guilty when he did. Judge John Seeley issued a nine month custodial sentence to Greene on all four counts to run concurrently. The sentence has been suspended for two years. Greene must complete 170 hours of unpaid work and 20 days of rehabilitation activity requirement. He has also been given a Sexual Harm Prevention Order of five years.
