SADNAM SINGH AND NAVJOT SINGH SENTENCED IN PRESTON FOR SHOCKING SEXUAL ASSAULT ON 14-YEAR-OLD GIRL

On Friday, June 20, 2025, Preston Crown Court handed down sentences to two men found guilty of a disturbing sexual assault involving a minor. The offenders, Sadnam Singh, aged 28, and Navjot Singh, aged 26, both from Wolverhampton, were each sentenced to two and a half years in prison for their roles in the assault that took place in Preston.

The incident occurred in February of the previous year, when the two men were dispatched to deliver a television that the victim’s family had purchased through eBay. The girl, who was only 14 years old at the time, answered the door alone to receive the delivery. As she brought the television upstairs, the situation took a sinister turn. Sadnam Singh forcibly pinned her against a wall, subjecting her to a sexual assault while Navjot Singh stood nearby, laughing at the scene. The assault was carried out in the girl’s own home, a place where she should have felt safe and secure.

Following the attack, the girl quickly locked the door to her room, overwhelmed with distress. She immediately contacted her mother, crying and visibly shaken by the ordeal. The police were alerted promptly, and officers arrested both Singh and Singh later that same morning in Preston. The swift response by law enforcement was crucial in apprehending the suspects and beginning the process of justice.

During the sentencing hearing, the court also ordered both men to register as sex offenders indefinitely, reflecting the severity of their crimes. Additionally, they are subject to a lifelong Sexual Harm Prevention Order and a restraining order, designed to prevent any further contact with the victim and to monitor their behavior moving forward.

Detective Constable Ben Clegg of Preston CID highlighted the gravity of the breach of trust involved in this case. He emphasized that the assault took place within the supposed safety of the girl’s home, a place where she should have been protected. The offenders exploited their roles as delivery personnel to carry out the assault, a betrayal of the trust placed in them by the victim’s family and the community. The case underscores the importance of vigilance and the need for strict consequences when such violations occur in the context of seemingly routine service roles.
