BRADFORD MAN WHO STALKED GIRLFRIEND IS 'DANGER TO SOCIETY'
A JEALOUS and paranoid young man who stalked a former girlfriend and threatened to hurt people with a knife he dubbed “Delilah” has avoided immediate custody.Prior to that behaviour Ryheam Morris-Khan also filmed himself having sex with underage girls, which led to him facing three charges of making indecent images of children.
The 20-year-old will now have to register as a sex offender and will be subject to a ten-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order after Bradford Crown Court heard about his behaviour.
The victim of his stalking offences, who was not pictured in the indecent images, warned that she believes he is “a danger to society”.
Bradford Crown Court heard how Morris-Khan, of Mayo Avenue, Bradford, had difficulty coming to terms with the breakdown of intimate relationships.
He demonstrated “irrational, unpredictable, and paranoid” behaviour, which included making threats to kill and mutilate people with a knife he named “Delilah”.
He also engaged in intensive stalking of his girlfriend, who received 92 messages and 104 calls over a three-day period after he believed she was being “trapped” by her mother.
Morris-Khan became “very angry” when the girl said she wanted to break up and asked him to stop messaging her.
He threatened to “ruin her life” and said he wanted to kill someone.
When she refused to take him back, he sent her a picture of a bag with a knife in it and then a photo of him holding the knife, which he referred to as “Delilah”.
He named three people and said he wanted to “shred, chop, and castrate” them.
She tried to calm him down, but Morris-Khan said: “I turn into the devil when I’m not with you.” His victim said the messages, which included him saying he wanted to hurt someone with Delilah, began to scare her.
At the time, Morris-Khan was aged 19 or 20.
In a statement read to the court, the victim said the trauma she had experienced would last for the rest of her life.
She said her mother had a doorbell camera installed as a result of Morris-Khan’s stalking and that she would fall asleep watching the footage “live on my phone”.
She said he belittled her and manipulated her to the extent that she lost friends and became estranged from her family, as “I realised he did not want me to be around anyone but him.
“I picked him over all my family.” She added that Morris-Khan was “not a pleasant individual, and I believe he is a danger to society.
“I believe he will never change and is mentally unwell.”
