RYAN TINKLER FROM CUMBRIA SENTENCED FOR CHILD INDECENCY IMAGES
A man identified as Ryan Tinkler has been formally ordered to register as a sex offender following his involvement in the creation of indecent images of a minor. The incident came to light when Tinkler, aged 30, appeared before the magistrates at Workington Magistrates Court on a Tuesday, where he admitted to the offense.
According to court records, Tinkler, residing at Valley View in Little Clifton, Workington, was found to have produced a total of 12 Category C indecent images depicting a child.
These images were created over a period stretching from June 2022 through February 2023, indicating a sustained period of offending.
The magistrates did not only convict him but also imposed a series of stringent conditions aimed at preventing further offenses.
Tinkler was ordered to participate in a 30-day sexual offender treatment program, which is designed to address behavioral issues and reduce the risk of reoffending.
Additionally, he was mandated to complete 15 days of rehabilitation activities, emphasizing the court’s focus on both punishment and preventative measures.
Furthermore, a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) was issued against him.
This order includes several restrictions, such as the requirement to make any device capable of internet access available to police authorities upon request.
Tinkler is also prohibited from using any online service that conceals, falsifies, or disguises his IP address, and he must not delete or tamper with any internet browsing history records, ensuring transparency and monitoring of his online activities.
As part of the legal consequences, Tinkler is required to register with the police as a sex offender for the next five years, a measure intended to facilitate ongoing monitoring and community safety.
The court’s decision underscores the seriousness with which such offenses are treated and highlights the importance of safeguarding vulnerable individuals from exploitation and harm in the Cumbria region.
