RYAN MADINE FROM DONCASTER SENTENCED FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES IN SHOCKING CASE
A man from Doncaster named Ryan Madine has been handed a lengthy prison sentence after a series of heinous crimes involving a young child.The case, which has sent shockwaves through the local community, details the disturbing actions of Madine, who sexually assaulted a child while they were asleep.
The assault was not only committed in secrecy but was also documented by Madine himself, as he filmed the abuse and later shared the footage with another convicted paedophile, James Mitchell.
Madine’s actions did not stop there.
He engaged in multiple sexual attacks on the vulnerable child, acts that he recorded and subsequently transmitted to Mitchell.
The latter, who has also been convicted of child sexual offences, played a role in encouraging Madine to commit these crimes.
The two men maintained a disturbing exchange of child abuse images, sharing illicit material with each other, which further compounded their criminal conduct.
The investigation into Madine’s activities was initiated in April 2023, following an extensive 18-month probe conducted by officers from Doncaster’s Protecting Vulnerable People (PVP) Team.
The authorities collaborated closely with the Digital Forensics Unit and colleagues from Nottinghamshire Police to gather evidence.
During the investigation, law enforcement officials uncovered video messages in which Madine was seen sexually assaulting and performing oral sex on a young child who was described as vulnerable.
The digital devices seized from Madine also contained over 700 indecent images of children, highlighting the extent of his offending.
Initially, Madine denied any sexual interest in children, attempting to dismiss the allegations.
However, under pressure from investigators and evidence presented, he eventually pleaded guilty to a range of serious offences.
These included assaulting a child under the age of 13 by penetration, sexual assault of a child, voyeurism, and engaging in sexual communication with a child.
Additionally, Madine admitted to five counts of making indecent photographs of a child and two counts of distributing such images.
His guilty pleas marked a significant development in the case, underscoring the severity of his crimes.
Ryan Madine, aged 24 and originally from the Edlington area, and James Mitchell, aged 31 from Retford in Nottinghamshire, appeared before Sheffield Crown Court earlier today, February 2nd.
Both men received sentences of 11 and a half years in prison.
Furthermore, they will be subject to lifelong registration on the Sex Offenders' Register, and a restraining order has been imposed to prevent any contact with the victim or related parties for the rest of their lives.
The case has left a lasting impact on the community and highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat child exploitation and protect vulnerable individuals.
