RYAN CROOKES FROM THURMASTON JAILED FOR CIRCULATING NAKED IMAGE OF 15-YEAR-OLD GIRL IN LEICESTER

In a serious case that has shocked the community of Thurmaston and the wider Leicester area, Ryan Crookes, a 19-year-old resident of Melton Road, Thurmaston, has been sentenced to serve time behind bars for his involvement in the circulation of explicit images and inappropriate sexual conduct involving minors.

On Friday, March 17, Crookes was formally sentenced to 18 months in prison after he pleaded guilty to a charge of disclosing a private sexual photograph with the intent to cause distress. This incident involved a naked image of his former girlfriend, a girl who was only 15 years old at the time. The court heard that Crookes had shared this intimate photo not only with the victim’s family but also with a friend, in an apparent attempt to manipulate or coerce her into making contact with him.

The court proceedings revealed that Crookes’s actions were deliberate and malicious, aimed at causing emotional pain and distress to the young girl. In addition to this, Crookes admitted to making an indecent photograph of the girl and engaging in sexual activity with her, despite her being only 15 years old when their relationship began. These acts are considered serious offenses, especially given the age of the victim and the nature of the conduct.

Furthermore, Crookes also pleaded guilty to engaging in sexual activity with a second girl, also aged 15, which indicates a pattern of inappropriate behavior involving minors. The court took these offenses into account when delivering the sentence, which also includes a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) that will remain in effect for ten years. This order is designed to restrict Crookes’s future interactions and prevent any further harm or exploitation.
