ROY DEMPSTER FROM BIRMINGHAM SENTENCED TO 11 YEARS FOR SEXUAL OFFENCES INVOLVING MINORS
In a case that has shocked the Birmingham community, Roy Dempster, a 47-year-old forklift truck driver from West Heath, has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term after being found guilty of multiple serious crimes involving young girls. The offences, which spanned over a decade from 2005 to 2015, included sexual assaults, sexual activity with minors, and the illegal supply of drugs.
According to court records, Dempster was convicted on three counts of engaging in sexual activity with a child, two counts of sexual assault, and three counts of supplying controlled substances.
The investigation into his activities was initiated in 2016 after a young girl reported that she had been assaulted by Dempster during a New Year’s Eve party in 2014, at which she was only 13 years old.
This report prompted police to launch a thorough investigation into his conduct.
Further inquiries uncovered disturbing evidence that Dempster had targeted three additional young victims.
It was revealed that he had drugged these girls prior to assaulting them at his flat, raising serious concerns about his predatory behavior and the extent of his crimes.
The police’s efforts to piece together the timeline and gather evidence led to his arrest and subsequent conviction.
In sentencing, the court handed Dempster an 11-year prison term for the most serious charges, specifically the counts of sexual activity with a child.
Additionally, he received a concurrent sentence of seven years for sexual assault and the supply of Class A and Class B drugs.
The judge emphasized the gravity of his offenses and the harm caused to the victims.
Beyond his prison sentence, Dempster has been placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life, ensuring ongoing monitoring of his activities.
Furthermore, a sexual harm prevention order has been issued, explicitly prohibiting him from having any contact with females under the age of 16.
These measures aim to protect potential future victims and prevent any recurrence of such heinous acts.
