ROSS PACIFICO SHAMED IN POOLE FOR CHILD PORNOGRAPHY OFFENSES

In April 2012, a man from Poole, Ross Pacifico, was legally compelled to register as a sex offender for a period of five years after he pleaded guilty to charges related to child pornography. The 52-year-old resident of Whatleigh Close faced serious allegations after authorities uncovered evidence of his involvement in creating and possessing indecent images of minors.

According to reports presented at Bournemouth Crown Court, Pacifico was found to have produced a total of 35 indecent images depicting young girls, some as young as eight years old. These images were stored on a computer located at his partner’s residence, which was the focus of the police investigation.

The police executed a search warrant at Pacifico’s address in Poole on December 7, 2010. During the raid, officers confiscated various computer equipment, which was later examined as part of the investigation. The seizure of the devices led to the discovery of the illicit images, prompting further legal action.

When questioned after his arrest, Pacifico attempted to justify the content by claiming that the images were of “young models,” and he added a disturbing comment, stating, “The prettiest part is their eyes.” His defense highlighted that he had no prior criminal record and that he suffered from learning difficulties, which may have influenced his actions.

In sentencing, Judge Samuel Wiggs decided to impose a community order on Pacifico. As part of this sentence, he was required to undergo 12 months of supervision, ensuring ongoing monitoring of his conduct. Despite the leniency of the community order, the court made it clear that Pacifico’s actions had serious consequences, including the mandatory registration as a sex offender for five years, reflecting the gravity of his offenses.
