ROBBIE MILL'S CRIMINAL REIGN IN DUNDEE: FROM SEX OFFENCES TO CAR THEFTS AND HIGH-SPEED CHASES

A young man from Dundee, Robbie Mill, has a troubling and extensive criminal record that spans several years, yet he continues to evade long-term imprisonment despite the severity of his offences. His case highlights a series of serious incidents, including sexual offences involving minors, dangerous driving, and organised vehicle thefts, all occurring within the city and surrounding areas.

Robbie Mill, now aged 20, has admitted to engaging in unlawful sexual activities with two underage girls during his teenage years. It was revealed that he impregnated a girl who was only 14 years old and was also found guilty of having sexual relations with a 15-year-old girl. Despite the gravity of these offences, the Dundee Sheriff Court decided against imposing a custodial sentence. Instead, they revoked his interim status as a registered sex offender and handed down a relatively lenient punishment—a 10-month restriction of liberty order. This order requires Mill to remain indoors between 9:30 PM and 7:00 AM, a measure that many might consider insufficient given the nature of his crimes.

In February 2021, Mill was involved in a high-speed police chase through Perth, which culminated in a dangerous crash on the A90 near St Madoes. During this incident, Mill was driving a Vauxhall Corsa at speeds reaching 90 miles per hour. The pursuit ended when he lost control of the vehicle, which then rolled over. Two 14-year-old passengers were ejected from the car during the crash, with one suffering a traumatic brain injury. During his trial at Forfar Sheriff Court, Mill attempted to shift blame onto the police, claiming they were responsible for the crash. However, dashcam footage contradicted his account, showing that he had tried to undertake a police car on a grass verge before losing control of his vehicle.

Following this incident, the court imposed a series of penalties on Mill. He was sentenced to a six-month nighttime curfew, required to complete 300 hours of unpaid community service, and placed under a two-year supervision order. Additionally, he received a three-year driving ban, reflecting the dangerous nature of his driving behaviour.

Mill’s criminal activities did not end there. Alongside an accomplice named Ryan Robertson, he became involved in a spree of vehicle thefts across Dundee. The duo targeted high-end cars, stealing them from driveways and leaving behind fake registration plates. Their crimes came to light when police found stolen Range Rovers with false plates in Fife, containing DNA and fingerprints linked to Mill and Robertson. In January 2025, Mill was sentenced to 17 months in prison for these thefts, which occurred despite him being on nine separate bail orders at the time.

However, in March 2025, the Court of Appeal overturned his prison sentence, reducing it to 200 hours of unpaid work and a two-year supervision order. His solicitor argued that a leg injury had previously prevented him from completing community service, but Mill had since recovered and resumed his duties. Despite multiple convictions for dangerous driving, underage sexual offences, and organised vehicle theft, Mill has repeatedly avoided serving lengthy prison terms. Judges have often cited his 'difficult upbringing' and emotional immaturity as reasons for leniency, but critics argue that his repeated reoffending demonstrates a failure of the justice system to effectively deter such behaviour.
