RICHARD JONES SENTENCED FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES IN CRAWLEY AND KENT

Richard Jones, aged 63, who was previously known by the name Richard Ernest Bloch, currently resides in Grange Road, Shanklin. However, his past addresses include Colwyn Close and Francis Edwards Way, both situated in Crawley, where he lived until 1996. His criminal activities spanned over a decade, with offences committed between 1991 and 2002, involving four young girls who were subjected to his predatory behavior.

Jones was convicted on a total of nine counts related to sexual misconduct. The charges included seven counts of indecent assault and two counts of gross indecency. These offences were committed against four young girls, with six of the indecent assault charges specifically involving three of the victims in Crawley. The remaining offences—comprising two gross indecency charges and one indecent assault—were carried out against the fourth girl in the locations of Ruislip, Middlesex, and Sissinghurst, Kent.

As a result of his conviction, Richard Jones has been sentenced to a total of seven and a half years in prison.
