QUADE ADAMS FROM OSWESTRY AND TREGARON SENTENCED AFTER HORRIFIC ANIMAL CRUELTY IN WALES

In a disturbing case of animal cruelty, Quade Roy Adams, a man originally from Weston Rhyn, Oswestry, Shropshire, and more recently residing at Y Bwythyn, Tregaron, Ceredigion, Wales, was found guilty of heinous acts involving two innocent animals. Adams, who now lives in Tredegar, Wales, was responsible for the brutal killing of a five-month-old chocolate brown toy poodle named Emi and a seven-month-old ragdoll kitten called Toast.

Emi suffered severe injuries, including a chipped eye socket, a fractured pelvis, and three broken ribs. These injuries were so severe that the veterinary team decided to euthanize her to prevent further suffering. The trauma inflicted on Emi was consistent with violent assault, indicating that she was likely subjected to significant physical abuse.

Toast, the young kitten, also endured grave injuries. She had suffered abdominal trauma and a ruptured spleen, injuries that are often associated with stamping or kicking. The evidence suggested that Toast was subjected to physical violence, which ultimately led to her suffering and death.

Adams faced charges related to causing unnecessary suffering to both animals. He denied two charges of causing unnecessary suffering to Toast and one charge concerning Emi. Despite his denial, the court found him guilty of all charges.

As a consequence of his actions, Adams was sentenced to 12 weeks in jail. Additionally, he was ordered to contribute £500 towards the costs incurred during the case. Importantly, he received an indefinite ban on keeping animals, with a minimum duration of five years, to prevent any future harm to animals.

This case was reported by the Shropshire Star on May 20, 2015, highlighting the severity of animal cruelty and the legal repercussions faced by offenders in the region.
