LEEDS MOTHER CHARGED WITH KILLING 3-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER
A woman has appeared in court accused of murdering her three-year-old daughter who was found dead at a house in Leeds.The child's body, Hope McGrath, was discovered inside a bungalow on Austhorpe Court in the Colton area of Leeds on Wednesday.
Pippa McGrath, aged 47, of Austhorpe Court, was charged with the murder of Hope McGrath between the 26th and 30th of July.
During her brief court appearance, Ms.
McGrath confirmed her identity, date of birth, and address, and stated she understood the charges against her.
She was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear before Leeds Crown Court on Tuesday.
West Yorkshire Police reported that officers responded to a concern for safety at the property, which led to the discovery of the child's body.

It follows a report received at 11.06am yesterday (Wednesday, 30 July) of concern for the safety of a young child.
Detective Chief Inspector Stacey Atkinson, of West Yorkshire Police’s Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, said: “Sadly when emergency services attended at an address on Austhorpe Court, Leeds, yesterday the body of a 3-year-old girl was found inside.
“A woman at the address was taken to hospital for urgent medical attention and remains there today in a stable condition.
She has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
"We are treating this as an isolated incident and are not seeking anyone else in connection with it.
“I understand that such a tragic incident as this will cause shockwaves in the local community and that there will be speculation about what has happened.
